Tradeshow Success Tip

Know why you are exhibiting at any particular show and make sure you communicate this with ALL of your booth staff.

Keeping your staff on the same sheet of music is a perfect analogy. Not only should your staff know why you are exhibiting but you all should have the same lead off questions to qualify visitors. We like to say the goal is to get to the no. If a lead is going to say no anyway, better to learn it NOW and move on to the next opportunity than to waste time.

Image is Everything

Good or bad, your exhibit tells a story in a blink of an eye. Worn out displays commicates your business doesn't care. Perception is reality, if a lead perceives your space as cluttered, unorganized or old; then the lead will conclude your business is cluttered, unorganized and old. The old adage First impressions are lasting impressions is critical. Make the right first impression because you don't get a second chance.

New Beginnings

The tradeshow is not the end of the sale, but the beginning of a relationship. Even if you are selling products out of your booth, consider every tradeshow as a beginning for a long lasting relationship. Build relationships and when possible setup follow-up appointments. The trade show format is perfect for meeting new prospects but horrible venues for learning all about your future client's business--save those conversations for a later date.
