Triga Displays - Easy to use, lightweight to ship and safer for our environment

For me, going green use to mean having a salad for lunch…As a business owner, now going green means providing products that have a lower impact on our environment when the display has exceeded it’s usefulness.

In today’s world, exhibit producers and designers need to take into account how the “old” display is going to be disposed of.  Landfills are filled with PVC based graphics that will not break down for thousands of years.  The solvent based inks on those graphics will leach into the soil and continue harming our planet long after the foot steps of men disappear.

I have recently added a new display system to my business offerings because they are committed to producing a smaller environmental impact with their displays.  Here is the post that swayed me towards carrying the Triga Display product line.

One international graphics hardware manufacturer is receiving accolades for their environmentally responsible wide-format display solution which uses soft fabrics instead of PVC. “Any large-format flexible printed media which ends up being dumped as landfill rather than being re-pulped, recycled or re-used, is fast coming under the sustainability spotlight”, according to TRIGA™’s founder, George Fourie. From vinyl billboards to vinyl bus side advertising images, shopping centre graphics to event banners, advertisers will soon come under the spotlight when it comes to wasteful dumping of old graphics and plastic hardware to landfill sites. Retailers are rapidly turning to buying affordable, yet sustainable graphic solutions. TRIGA™ Display, with offices in South Africa, USA, Europe and Australia, utilizes recyclable aluminium and recycled ABS fittings and recommends printing with eco-friendly inks onto recyclable polyester fabrics to create visually appealing, re-useable displays that don’t get dumped as landfill. The TRIGA™ hardware frame is designed and built tough enough to outlast the typical life of a store design, meaning it doesn’t regularly get disposed to landfill like many other cheap display hardware does. Some of TRIGA™’s customers are now printing on TRIGA™’s preferred textile media using inks manufactured from corn, a next generation renewable resource. “For brands aiming for maximum visual appeal whilst remaining sustainable during repeat large-format indoor campaign advertising, it’s difficult to look beyond the modularity and environmentally-friendly benefits TRIGA delivers” says George.
