Many smaller organization and niche industries have exhibit opportunities at their conferences and seminars. In most cases, displays are restricted to what an exhibitor can fit on top of a single table. These “tabletop shows” are great for small businesses with limited resources: there’s no expensive booth to buy and attendees are usually highly qualified.
Positioned to Succeed
You’ve rented 100 square feet of exhibit space, set up a beautiful display, and carefully arranged your products. But where do you put yourself?
Never stand behind the table. If you do, it becomes a barrier between you and passing attendees. Pull your table back, leaving room at the front of your exhibit space for attendees to enter. Stand to the side of the table and slightly in front of it.
